I recently met with Scott Brayton, the Major Gifts Officer at UC Davis, and Dawn Kooyumjian, our Contra Costa County UC Master Gardener Coordinator, last year after inquiring whether we had a legacy/major gift program. We do!

It is a wonderful way to give back to the UC Master Gardener program and is quite easy. You can donate now (once, monthly, or quarterly) and/or include our UC Master Gardener program in your trust, which I have done. You may designate the funds for a particular program, or state that you want them to be “unrestricted funds,” which is ideal for all non-profits. (You need to include a letter with your gift stating the program you wish to support.)
Here are 4 ways you can donate:
Online gift
- https://give.ucanr.edu/forms/ContraCosta-MG is the direct link to make an online gift. This link is found near the bottom of the Contra Costa Master Gardener website (link).
Check/Donor Advised Fund/IRA Distributions
- Make the check payable to UC Regents. Use the EIN #94-3067788.
- Write "UC Master Gardeners of Contra Costa County" on the memo line.
- Mail check to:
