Who should attend
Intermediate 4-H'ers (ages 11-13). Senior 4-H members, ages 14+, can sign up as facilitators (staff).
Youth Summit programs are designed to grow the leadership abilities of intermediate 4-H'ers (ages 11-13) and give hands-on leadership opportunities to senior 4-H'ers (ages 14+). Participants are mentored by senior 4-H'ers and caring adult volunteers. Younger members develop stronger relationships with their older peers as they both develop their leadership skills.
This year, we have a special educational focus on empowering youth with the tools to create change in their communities on issues that matter to them.
Participants can choose several workshops to attend at the Youth Summit, with topics related to leadership, advocacy, and careers. Check out the pages for each event to see the list of workshops offered.
(The official registration deadline was November 30th; the form is still open and we are still accepting registrations.)

The Youth Summits are planned by a team of senior 4-H members (ages 14+) in partnership with the California 4-H Management Board. They are responsible for making the Youth Summits informational, useful, and FUN!
We are looking for upbeat volunteers to chaperone the Youth Summits. Chaperones must apply and be accepted. We are following the guidelines for overnight chaperones. Please see the Chaperone information page for the application process and requirements.
After you are accepted to be a chaperone, you will receive an email from the Chaperone coordinator that will include a link to the youth summit chaperone registration form.
