Moringa

Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is a tropical, drought-tolerant tree known for its high nutritional content. It is grown throughout the tropics and used in nutrition programs in developing countries because of its high levels of protein, vitamins, and minerals.

Moringa is being grown on small farms in the Central Valley, mostly for fresh leaves sold at farmers markets and grocery stores. If you are a commercial buyer interested in purchasing moringa directly from farmers, please contact Ruth Dahlquist-Willard at rdwillard@ucanr.edu.
