Gardening with Natives, 10am
Cindy Weiner, UC Master Gardener of Butte County

In addition to using very little water, native plants help protect and conserve local biodiversity by developing a garden that welcomes wildlife, including birds and other small critters. The California Native Plant and Wildlife Habitat gardens in our Demonstration Garden are examples of how you can create your own garden and provide food and shelter to butterflies, birds, bees and other garden beneficials.

Berry and Grape Gardening, 11am
Tom Hansen, UC Master Gardener of Butte County

Interested in growing grapes or berries (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries)? This presentation will discuss where to plant, how to plant, when and how to prune, and general care (and control) of your berry and grape garden.
