Plant a Row for the Hungry / Fresno

Thinking of ways to make a difference in the community? Planning a Spring Garden and have a little extra room in your garden? You could donate food to our local food banks. 

Plant a Row for the Hungry: Nationally sponsored by the Garden Writers’ Association, Plant-A-Row encourages gardeners to grow a little extra to donate to food banks. You can also donate any surplus of fresh garden produce, even it it wasn’t planted for donation!

The Yosemite Village Permaculture Garden and Urban Farm

The Yosemite Village Permaculture Garden and Urban Farm is an educational garden and small farm incubator located in South West Fresno. Started from bare ground on October 5, 2019 with help from the Fresno Master Gardeners and community volunteers.

The garden is thriving with garden plots adopted by locate residents. Covid might have slowed down the world, but gardening is alive and well. Thank you Sherril Nell Wells for the current photo and all of the Fresno Master Gardeners who have helped on this project. Take time to work in your garden and share your knowledge of gardening with your community. 2021 a new year of gardening !
