The California 4-H State Field Day will take place on Saturday, May 25th, 2024 on the UC Davis campus. State Field Day is a single day event with multiple contests that youth ages 9 and up can participate in. Primary youth activities will also be available, as well as educational booths. State Field Day contests are a culminating activity for a variety of 4-H project areas. Some contests require that youth pre-qualify, while others are open to anyone.
State Field Day 2024 will offer the following contests:

- Insect Identification
- Photography
- Film Festival
- Plant Science
