Master Food Preservers


Who We Are and What We Do

UCCE Master Food Preserver volunteers are agents of the University of

California and work through the UC Cooperative Extension to educate the community on the safe practices of food preservation.

At fun, often free classes, we teach you step-by-step methods to preserve food at home:

  • Canning: Boiling Water, Steam and Pressure Canning
  • Dehydrating and Freezing
  • Pickling and Fermenting
