Veterinarians in California and Oregon will soon receive honey bee education as part of a two-year $483,278 grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to principal investigator Extension apiculturist Elina Lastro Nio of the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology.

It's all the buzz. The second annual California Honey Festival, sponsored by the UC Davis Honey and Pollination Center and the City of Woodland, will offer scores of entertainment and educational activities and food and drink from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 5 in downtown Woodland.
