The Kings County 4-H Leaders Council meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Kings UCCE Multi-Purpose Room to discuss 4-H business, plan events, and develop the program. All Kings County 4-H adult volunteers, senior youth members, and parents are encouraged to attend.

What you will learn: Basic steps to plan, grow, and harvest fall winter veggies. Learn about unique varieties of green, cole, and root crops. Sources for seeds, plant starts, and growing information. Impact of climate on plants and insect pests. Free seeds, seedlings and more.

NEW for the 2024-2025 program year, volunteers will be trained on the 4-H Thriving Model and this kickoff event covers several topics designed to enhance your role as a project leader.

Come along to our weekly Workday & Open Garden Gate - we are now operating SPRING/SUMMER HOURS - 9am to 1pm. Open year-round on Thursdays - the public is welcome to explore the garden, ask for advice, take free seeds home to plant, buy plants, share in the harvest and more.
