Conference Background
On December 10-11, 2009 this conference continued in the tradition of periodically gathering Northwest California Fire Safe Councils to network, share successes and challenges, and to discuss solutions to common issues. Seventy people attended this event and through breakout sessions and panel presentations they:
- Supported regionalized networking among Fire Safe Council representatives
- Fostered cross-training activities important to Fire Safe Councils
- Provided useful tools to build successful Fire Safe Councils within the region so they may be effective in reducing the risk of wildfire damage to local communities and resources.
