4-H, the largest youth development organization in the nation, helps young people reach their full potential as competent, confident leaders who are connected to and contribute to their communities. Kings County 4-H welcomes youth ages 5 to 18 and adult volunteers to join and be part of our program.
In UC 4-H, youth find their spark, build real world skills, and become resilient, adaptable, lifelong learners. No matter their interests, 4-H gives young people the skills they need to thrive and succeed. 4-H projects and programs focus on agriculture, STEM, leadership, healthy living, and civic engagement.

Enroll in 4-H Today for Free! - Opens August 3rd
Enrollment is now open for the 2026–2027 4-H year, and we’re excited to welcome youth members and adult volunteers! Kids ages 5–18 (as of 12/31/26) can join for free thanks to our generous sponsors. Most clubs hold their first meeting during the second week of September, so sign up now to start your year off right. 4-H is a wonderful place to learn real-world skills, make new friends, explore your interests, and have a whole lot of fun. We can’t wait to see you grow with us this year!
Teen Leader Essentials Webinar - September 16th at 6:30 pm
- Youth-Adult Partnerships & Finding Your Niche as a Teen Leader 6:30-8:30 pm - The State Ambassador team is hosting a monthly virtual workshop series for County Ambassadors, youth leaders (13 and up) and County Ambassador Coaches. Here’s your chance to start practicing good time management and planning skills.
Urban Air Family Fun Kick Off Event - September 26th at 10:00 am
Kick off the new 4-H year at our 4-H Family Fun Day at Urban Air Adventure Park (Hanford Mall) on Saturday, September 26 from 10 am–12 pm! Kings County 4-H Leaders Council will cover the Ultimate Attractions Pass and socks for all actively enrolled 2026–2027 4-H’ers. Please arrive by 10 am for the full two hours of jump time. Check in with Cayci Hill (4-H Staff) when you arrive so she can verify your enrollment and purchase your pass. Bring a completed waiver to speed things up. Parents must stay to supervise their children. Wear a 4-H or green shirt if you have one. Come get active, meet other families, and celebrate the new 4-H year! RSVP for Urban Air Event

- Plate Power - Fuel Your Brian & Body -The California 4-H State Healthy Living Advisory Committee invites you to monthly webinars! Each month we will have guest speakers, program highlights and resources to share about a healthy living topic. Join us in practicing healthy living habits together.

- Club Officers and Officer Advisors are invited to attend this year's training opportunities for club Secretaries and Treasurers in the UCCE Kings Multi-Purpose Room at 680 N. Campus Drive Suite F in Hanford, CA.
- Secretary Training 6:00 pm - Learn essential skills such as listening, note taking, and record keeping. Practice taking minutes and more!
- Treasurer Training 6:30 pm - Learn 4-H policies and best financial practices including writing checks and checkbook balancing.

Kings County 4-H Leaders Council
All Kings County 4-H parents, adult volunteers, and senior youth members are encouraged to join us at the next Leaders Council Meeting on Tuesday, November 3rd @ 6:30 pm in the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Kings County Multi-Purpose Room. This meeting is the Budget & Calendar Meeting for the 2026-2027 4-H Year. We will also vote on the VMO transition to the Kings County 4-H Program Leadership Team.
