UC Cooperative Extension Mariposa County is your local connection to the research, education, and expertise of the University of California. Our office serves Mariposa County residents, farmers, ranchers, families, and community members with practical, science-based information and programs you can use right here at home.
We are part of a statewide network of 64 county Cooperative Extension offices, but our focus is local. Our staff and volunteers live and work in Mariposa County, and the programs we run are shaped by the needs of this community.
What We Offer in Mariposa County
Our programs cover fire education and wildfire preparedness, regenerative agriculture, 4-H youth development, home and community gardening through the Master Gardener Program, and safe home food preservation through the Master Food Preserver Program.
