University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) was established in Placer and Nevada Counties in 1917. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Placer and Nevada County residents by developing and delivering research-based information in agriculture and natural resources, environmental horticulture, youth development, community nutrition and health, and fire ecology and wildfire preparedness.  Please explore our site to learn more about the programs available through UCCE Placer/Nevada.
