Welcome to UCCE Placer Nevada

University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) was established in Placer and Nevada Counties in 1917. Partnering with local, state, federal, and private organizations, we are stewards, problem-solvers,

collaborators, and educators.

We connect local needs with the power of UC research. Our county-based teams live and work in the communities we serve, delivering practical, science-based solutions across the region.

We support our communities by offering information and education on livestock, farming, horticulture, water conservation, wildfire and home hardening, youth development, and community nutrition and health.

We strengthen communities with several statewide programs, 4-H youth development, Master Gardeners, and CalFresh Healthy Living.  Volunteers in these programs help extend our impact countywide.
