User Roles

Your role in the Integrated Web Platform (IWP) determines what you can do within a site or blog. Some users primarily create and update content, while others also manage users, navigation and site settings.

Permissions are assigned separately for each site or blog, which Drupal refers to as a Group. This means you may have different roles for different Groups.

Important: IWP access is managed at the site or blog level. There are currently no page-level editing permissions within a Group.

IWP User Roles

There are three primary roles within a Group:

  • Group Admin — Manages the site or blog, its users and its content
  • Group Editor — Creates, edits and publishes content
  • Group Member — Can view content but cannot create or edit it

How to Find Your Role

Go to your My Account page to see the Groups you have access to. The options available for each Group will help indicate what level of access you have.

  • Manage the Group Menu and other site-level settings
  • Create, edit, publish, unpublish and delete content and media
  • Add and remove Group members
