Community Nutrition and Health of San Joaquin County

Program Update

The CalFresh Healthy Living Program ends September 30, 2026

CalFresh Healthy Living, University of California (known federally as SNAP-Ed) has provided low resource communities with evidence-based education on healthier eating and physical activity, aligned with policy, systems, and environmental strategies to generate long-lasting positive health impacts. This program has been supported by federal funds from the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) for 30 years. A federal bill signed on July 4, 2025, ended funding for SNAP-Ed programs nationwide. As a result, this statewide program ends September 30th, 2026. We want to thank our many partners and participants who have worked with us to build healthier communities.
