Program year 2025-26 statewide statistics for the UC Master Gardener Program:
- 6,079 active UC Master Gardener volunteers
- 463,590 volunteer service hours
- 75,962 continuing education hours
- 539,552 total volunteer service and continuing education hours
- $22.5 million estimated value of volunteer and continuing education hours
- 1,200+ gardens supported across California
Since the program began, more than 35,000 volunteers have been trained and contributed nearly 19 million hours of volunteer service and continuing education.
These figures are approved for statewide communications use and serve as the source of truth for the next two program years, unless updated by the Impact & Communications team.
