The Project Rubric is a decision-making tool that assists coordinators with identifying focus projects for the coming program year, assessing proposed projects, and improving existing projects. The rubric supports the assessment of UC Master Gardener Program projects with consideration of:
- connection to our program mission
- strategic initiatives
- partnerships
- local priorities
- unique areas of volunteer brilliance
- alignment with community needs
- and other criteria
Anticipated Uses
- Understand if and how current projects align with key UC Master Gardener Program criteria
- Identify specific areas of improvement for all projects
- Elevate and invest resources in projects that are closely aligned with the UC Master Gardener Program mission, core values, strategic initiatives, local priorities, and fundraising objectives as well as the needs and assets of communities underinvested by UC ANR
