How students and academic advisors can use the database:
One can select by county, organization type, or activity.
Search by county region:
Click on the county you are looking to find resources in. Once you have selected the county of interest for the search, you can click each tab under organizations to review the people and organizations working either locally or statewide.
Search by organization type:
You can filter your search by organization type supporting organic agriculture. There are multiple public organization types including UC Cooperative Extension, Academic, California Department of Food and Agriculture, USDA, and Resource Conservation Districts. In addition, there are a wide range of community organizations such as non-profits that support diverse activities for organic agriculture.
To filter by organization type, click the check box located in front of each category under the Organization Type tab. From there, you can review entries that are categorized by your selected organization type. For this example, filtering by "Academic" and “Cooperative Extension” brings up 39 organizations statewide.
