Fresno County Fair

The Big Fresno Fair General Information

The annual Fresno County Fair held in October offers 4-H members numerous opportunities to exhibit project work. Competitive exhibits are open to regular members ages 9 and up. The age requirement rule as written by the 21st District Agricultural Association of the State of CA states youth must be 9 years old by December 31st of previous year of fair. New members of large animal projects MUST be enrolled by March 15th prior to October fair. In addition to exhibiting, the fair experience offers public speaking opportunities giving 4-H'ers a stage for presentations and demonstrations. 

The Junior Livestock Auction is optional for members raising market projects. Members participating in the auction are required to seek support of their projects by submitting buyer letters or personally contacting potential donors.
