The VINE
Our flagship applied innovation pipeline connecting startups, researchers, growers, and industry through workshops and field demonstrations across California. The VINE operates through two tracks: Build workshops for early-stage technology development and Connect field days for direct startup-grower engagement. Guided by an Industry Advisory Board representing 23 commodities across 16 counties.

Farm Robotics Challenge
A national competition engaging student teams in designing robotic solutions to real agricultural problems. Includes three competition divisions—university, community college, and high school—plus the Farm Robotics Academy for educator training.

The Plant
A planned innovation center at the Port of West Sacramento providing shared, pilot-scale infrastructure for controlled environment agriculture, food innovation, and biomanufacturing. Currently in pre-development with construction ahead.

BioCircular Valley
A five-year, multi-institution initiative transforming agricultural waste into valuable products, fuels, and materials across California's North San Joaquin Valley. Funded by Schmidt Sciences and the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research.

A statewide initiative connecting nine regions through coordinated commercialization, workforce development, and ecosystem building. The largest agricultural sector California Jobs First award to date.
