Fresno County Master Gardener Spring Garden Tour

9-4  Rain or Shine

Tickets  are available for purchase. $30 in advance, $35 day of tour.

We are busy planning and preparing for the 2026 Spring Garden Tour on April 25th. Five beautiful gardens have been chosen. We can't wait to share them and our own demonstration garden, Garden of the Sun with you.

The garden tour is an opportunity to visit the selected private gardens at your own pace. If you have never been on the Spring Garden Tour it is a self-guided tour of five beautiful and unique private gardens and the Garden of the Sun demonstration garden. You can start at any of the gardens. Take lots of pictures and ask the Master Gardener docents at each garden any questions you may have about the gardens and the plants in them.  We should still have plants available for sale at the Garden of the Sun.

Here are a few sneak peaks of the gardens on the tour:

basso garden pathway and flowers

The Basso Garden - This garden has gone through many transformations in the past 51 years.  Presently, it is a garden with two very distinctive styles: architectural in the front garden, cottage garden in the back. The owners have focused on low maintenance and lower water usage, with a variety of trees for shade.

pictures of the Holland villa garden

The Holland Villa - Only seven years old, this three-quarter acre cottage/Mediterranean garden in Old Fig is a feast for the eyes. It contains a huge variety of pollinator friendly plants set up on drip irrigation. Decomposed granite paths lead from one charming relaxation area to another.

The Lyon Garden - Located on Fresno’s beloved Huntington Boulevard, this garden frames a 100-year-old home. The vast majority of the gardening and structure work was done by the homeowner. It includes many unique areas, such as a Victorian greenhouse, large aviary, and charming country potting cottage.

The Pink Garden - Designed by the present owner, this garden is a tapestry of pink, purple and white. Flowers include roses, foxgloves, hollyhocks, snapdragons, poppies, pelargoniums, and paludosum creeping daisies. Take a peek inside the garden shed, designed using a vintage door and windows. Enjoy a rose garden filled with David Austin English roses all in in pinks as you leave this beautiful garden.

pictures from the memory garden

The Memory Garden - Renovated and transformed in 2015, this garden is a testament to both resilience and reinvention. The artist/owner has created both a sanctuary and a vibrant area for projects and gatherings of family and beloved friends. Be sure to check the striking mural on the back wall, a recent addition painted by the homeowner in memory of loved ones.
