ANR Strategic Learning & Development Goals
 
ANR's Strategic Learning & Development skills and goals fall under four tracks: Extension Delivery, Building Support, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion, and Office & Team Management.

Extension Foundation (formerly eXtension)

A knowledge-to-action service integral part of the U.S. Cooperative Extension System that helps professionals (advisers, educators, specialists) do their work more effectively using an online constellation of people, resources and tools, including professional development. This is a database available for all Cooperative Extension professionals that contains subject matter content or programming process model publications developed by the Extension Foundation and project/program fellows. Click here to learn more.

This is a database available for all Cooperative Extension professionals from Extension Foundation Member Institutions that contains video resources on a variety of subjects including the Impact Collaborative Innovation Skill-Building blocks, Leadership resources, and technical tutorials. The Extension Foundation offers employees of its member institutions the free use of its online course system for the sale and delivery of courses to their clientele. This happens through a package of two integrated sites, Campus (a Moodle 3.11+ platform) and Catalog, a store front facilitating fee-based access to courses on Campus. Click here to learn more.

Access thousands of subject matter expert instructor-led video courses where you can learn software, creative, and business skills to achieve your personal and professional goals. Each course is broken into 5 to 15 minute tutorials.

My UC Career

This online development portal is available to all UC faculty, academic personnel, staff and students seeking to advance their career. Six self-paced modules help users discover their internal UC career mobility options, highlight accomplishments and identify how they can achieve their career goals within UC.

National Association of Extension Programs and Staff Development Professionals (NAEPSDP)

NAEPSDP was formed to provide an organized forum for Extension professionals who are engaged in program and staff development. Their mission includes:

  • Improving communication & collaboration
  • Sharing resources
  • Enhancing multi-state efforts
  • Sponsoring and promote educational training programs and activities that advance program and staff development practices, and
  • Advancing the professional status of program and staff development extension professionals by encouraging continuous improvement.

ANR Staff Assembly Scholarships
UC ANR Staff Assembly is committed to supporting career training and professional development opportunities for ANR staff to further career advancement. The UC ANR Staff Assembly has established a scholarship program to provide financial assistance to UC ANR Staff to pursue career interests, develop new career paths, and address knowledge or skill gaps needed to reach professional development goals.
