Greetings to all UC ANR Latinx & Friends Affinity Group members fondly referred to as LAG!
Whether you're a recent addition to our community or one of our seasoned members, it is with great pleasure that I extend a heartfelt welcome on behalf of the LAG steering committee.
As we embark on our journey into the year 2024, I am delighted to share with you a glimpse of the exciting initiatives we have in store:
- Unveiling our very first bilingual newsletter.
- Joining our "Practicando mi español" group for a delightful language-learning experience.
- Exploring the world of Spanish cinema through "Hablemos de Cine" – Let's talk movies.
- Participating in our Dia de los Muertos Altar contest, a creative celebration.
- Embracing and honoring Hispanic Heritage Month throughout the entire year.
- Anticipating a lineup of distinguished guest speakers who will deepen our understanding of Latino culture and heritage.
- Empowering ourselves professionally with expert guest speakers dedicated to our growth.
The agenda may appear substantial and ambitious, but with your steadfast support, passion, and dedication, we are confident that we can turn these aspirations into achievements!
We will continue to convene for our general meetings on the last Thursday of each month, with the next meeting set for February 29, 2024.
