From horseshoe pits to a thriving Learning Garden!

What started as a small garden at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds has grown into a year-round hub for gardening education, fresh food production, and community connection. Thanks to the dedication of the UC Master Gardeners of Sutter and Yuba Counties, the Learning Garden recently doubled in size—adding new raised beds, a greenhouse, fruit trees, and more space for hands-on workshops.
This inspiring transformation shows what’s possible when volunteers bring passion, creativity, and perseverance to their communities.
