The annual California 4-H State Field Day event connects 4-H members, families and volunteers for a full day of State-level contests. 4-H'ers can connect with other members from across the state, learn new things at the interactive booths, and get inspired by other contest participants.

The San Mateo County Fair is a summer event in the Bay Area that features food, entertainment, and exhibits. The fair celebrates the county's culture and diversity.

Learn the art and science behind composting from a local Certified Master Composter. Learn about the importance of managing your organic waste (food scraps and yard trimmings) at home. As the drought worsens and the climate warms, home-based waste management has never been more relevant.

The 2025 4-H Fair Planning Meeting is taking place on Tuesday December 3rd before the council meeting at 5:30 pm in the Kings UCCE Multi-Purpose Room at 680 N. Campus Drive Suite F Hanford, CA 93230.

Come along to our weekly Workday & Open Garden Gate - we are now operating winter hours - 11am to 4pm. Open year-round on Thursdays - the public is welcome to explore the garden, ask for advice, take free seeds home to plant, buy plants, share in the harvest and more.
