Kings County Farm Day is a Kings County Office of Education agricultural-themed learning experience designed to introduce third-grade students from Kings County to the fascinating world of agriculture through a series of engaging and informative hands-on presentations. Each March over 2,000 third graders come to the Kings Fair to attend Farm Day. The event boasts thirty color station presentations hosted by local agriculture industry partners, ten animal station presentations hosted by 4-H and FFA youth members from Kings County, a hands-on planting station hosted by Kings County Office of Education, and an healthy living activity area hosted by Kings County 4-H and the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) programs. The third-grade students will also receive Fresno State Ice Cream as a snack donated by the Jordan College of Agriculture.
