What Are Club Meetings All About?
Club meetings bring 4-H communities together! Members and families can hear important program updates, learn about upcoming events and activities, and offer a chance for members to vote on project learning and/or a community service experience. Meetings may include announcements, leadership opportunities, community service projects, special activities, and ways to get involved in Marin County 4-H. They are also a great opportunity for families to ask questions, connect with volunteers, and learn how to make the most of their 4-H experience.
New to Marin County 4-H?
You do not need to attend club meetings in every area of Marin County! We encourage families to attend the club meetings in or near their hometown to connect with their local 4-H community see the club schedule below.
While members can participate in various projects throughout Marin County, attending club meetings close to home is a great way to build friendships, strengthen relationships, develop leadership skills, and discover new opportunities to get involved at the club level. These local connections help our members feel a sense of belonging and continue to grow as part of the 4-H community!

FAQ's
What is the time commitment?
Clubs generally start in September and go until May or June. Club meetings may occur monthly or bi-monthly and last approximately 1 hour. Projects require a minimum of 6 hours of instruction time.
How much does it cost to join 4-H?
Enrollment Fee: Each child pays an annual state program fee of $75. However, UC 4-H is open to all youth, regardless of their ability to pay, and a fee waiver/reduction can be requested.
Club Meetings vs. Project Meetings
Club meetings are opportunities for 4-H members to connect with other members, share ideas, plan activities, conduct club business, and have fun together. These meetings are often led by elected youth officers and focus on building leadership, teamwork, and community. Project meetings, on the other hand, focus on learning specific skills and exploring topics of interest through hands-on activities led by adult volunteers. Members typically attend project meetings separately from club meetings and can participate in projects offered around Marin County.
