Giving Tuesday 2025

Giving Tuesday 2025

Giving Tuesday is a day to give back and make a meaningful difference in our communities.  With so many organizations doing great work, why donate to UC Master Gardeners of San Mateo & San Francisco Counties?

Each year, we devote thousands of hours educating people and working on projects that directly benefit the people in the communities we serve.

Everything we do is science-based and focused on sustainability.

What does that mean for your community?

More vibrant school gardens that get kids excited about growing and eating healthy food-

More back yards supporting native plants and local wildlife-

More bountiful community gardens-

More beautiful public spaces-

Stronger, more resilient communities.

What you may not know: our programs are largely self-funded. Although we are trained under the auspices of University of California and operate as agents of UC, it is up to us to provide the funding for our operating budget.

It’s a Win-Win!

Your tax-deductible contribution goes directly to support our programs which, in turn, helps your community.  Your gift buys things like garden supplies, seeds, soils—everything we need to do our work.

Great news: This year, your gift will go even farther!

Every gift—no matter how small--will help us win two $500 challenge prizes offered by UC.

Please mark your calendar, set your alarm, spread the word to friends and family, then follow the link or scan the QR code below to donate to San Mateo-San Francisco Master Gardeners:

We are people in your community. We come from many different backgrounds. Many of us speak different languages. We are young and not-so-young. Many of us work full time jobs and are raising our families. Each of us contributes our unique skills and talents to the program.

All of us are dedicated volunteers who are passionate about gardening and sharing our knowledge to help others. We also grow and donate hundreds of pounds of fresh produce to food pantries in our communities.
