Partial clogging of emission devices, especially drip emitters and drip tape, is often difficult to detect. Only by collecting the discharge from a sampling of emitters for a known period of time is it possible to detect partial clogging. For more information see the section “
How do I determine if I have a clogging problem”.
Completely clogged emitters are the easiest to detect, except in drip tape and SDI systems. If you know you have a clogging problem, see the section “
I have a clogging problem and I want to solve it”.
