Second Friday of every month. Pressure canners with only a dial gauge need to be tested annually to ensure the dial gauge is accurate. If your dial gauge is not accurate, it is not correctly reading pressure which may result in under or over processing and unsafe food.

Learn how to make jam and enter it in the Mid-State Fair! Each 4-H participant will make 3 jars of jam/jelly, either grape jelly or strawberry jam. Take one jar home to share and use the other two jars for fair entries. This is a free workshop open to current 4-H youth members, ages 9-19.
