The South Coast Research & Extension Centers Open House & Urban Expo is happening Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 9am 2pm. There will be UG AG & Natural Resource Academics, UC Master Food Preservers and Master Gardeners of Orange County on hand to answer all your questions.
Join the UCCE Master Food Preservers for their monthly general Q&A session. A panel of volunteers specializing in freezing, dehydrating, canning and food safety will be available to answer your questions, share their tips and encourage you to safely preserve food at home.
Curious about canning your own food at home? Join the UCCE Master Food Preservers at this free introductory online class and learn how to use boiling water and atmospheric steam canners to can jams and jellies.

A regular workday at the demo garden on Thursdays, 11am to 1pm. The gate will indeed be open and members of the public are welcome to drop in and enjoy the garden and ask for advice. There will be public demos and plant sales. Share in garden produce, free seed exchange and local gardening advice.
