UCCE Master Food Preserver volunteers reach out to the community in many ways. Besides their Free Public Education classes on safe food preservation they are a fixture at the county fairs in El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties. They host stations for the third grade children participating at Farm Day each year, lead youth oriented hands-on workshops, and have a hot line to answer questions.
If you would like a UCCE Master Food Preserver volunteer to teach at one of your events, call us at 530-621-5506.
