The wind was rather wicked the other night and that's really saying the least. Boy, did it sure come through West Sacramento with gusts they say, up to 50 miles per hour! I felt as though I needed to be wearing a hard hat when battling the storm.

Central Park Gardens feature a broad variety of regionally-appropriate plants: wildlife-attracting, native, and drought-tolerant plants. The long, narrow site is well-suited for separation into several distinctly themed "garden rooms" that visitors can stroll between.

While cleaning up in my garden after the blustery wet days that have been a significant part of our weather pattern for the past week, I carry with me the huddled up inside feelings of a hard wind and water leaking into the basement.

Though you may still need to grab that coat on your way out the door, warmer days are just around the corner and now is the perfect time to begin planning your spring and summer garden.
