A BIG gardening event is coming on September 29th 2018 from 9 am to 2 pm. The UCCE Master Gardeners of Orange County and OC Water Quality and Water Resources is putting on the annual Urban Landscape and Garden Education Expo at the South Coast Center Research and Extension Center in Irvine.

This center is the home to the Master Gardeners and is a key resource for what we learn and, in turn, spread that knowledge to the public.

Like YOU, the listeners of In the Garden with UC Master Gardeners. And best of all, it is FREE. It is rare that the public can visit the research center. This is one of those times where you can bring your whole family and see many of the projects the Master Gardeners and other ANR organizations are actively working on such as Beekeeping, Composting, Irrigation, etc.

See first-hand about these topics you hear about on our radio program! Tram rides are offered for the public to sightsee around the center. Lectures, demos, and exhibits all day long. Tune in and get the whole scoop! It'll be fun! KUCI host David Letourneau will speak with MG Norma Yarbrough on today's show.
