You have probably heard of the Christmas cactus, but did you know that there is also a Thanksgiving cactus? I learned recently that my plant (shown in the picture) wasn't what I thought it was.

I recently bought a new house in Fairfield. The first picture on the website that brought my attention to the house was a gnarly-looking tree at the front of the property.

Now that I have put away the Christmas decorations and have taken down the tree, it's time to evaluate what is going on outside. We have had some freezing temperatures but looking around my yard, my citrus trees are looking lovely.
