Welcome to Camp Tehama Sign

4-H Camp will be held at Camp Tehama in Mill Creek, CA, this year!

Glenn County 4-H Camp is a fun three-day camping experience in a rustic setting located in Mill Creek, California, in our neighboring County. Enjoy the short drive, get some fresh air, and enjoy a fun Camping experience with your existing friends and meet new friends where you create long-lasting relationships!

Youth, Staff, and Volunteers work together from the planning phase through the duration of camp with a strong youth-adult partnership to create an environment where participants feel a sense of belonging, are able to build relationships, and we can emphasize learning by doing.

Camp is structured daily with fun activities such as crafts, tie-dye, archery, fun STEM activities, outdoor cooking, fishing, fort building, and so much more! Our Teen Camp Counselors plan evening themes for youth to dress up and bring them to the evening campfire, where youth learn fun, silly songs and participate in fun challenges! Incentivizing positive behavior, youth can earn “camp money” and can then purchase fun rewards at our 4-H camp store.

Our Camp Cook has more than 20 years of experience cooking for camps, events, and large activities. She brings new flavors and always has a variety of options. Camp participants have daily scheduled shower rotations and wear a swimsuit during this time. There are also shower curtains to provide additional modesty. Our resident Certified Nurse is always present and available for the duration of camp.

All Staff and Adult Volunteers are approved through the California 4-H Adult Volunteer process, where they receive training and are required to pass a DOJ clearance.

There is fun for everyone at our Glenn County 4-H Camp!
