#18 Rockin' Workout
Instructions in English
Congratulations! You found a UC 4-H Community Adventure Challenge. Good job!
Your challenge is to get your heart pumping so that it grows stronger. A strong body is important for Adventurers (and a strong heart will allow you to run away from pirates or bandits if necessary)!
These adventures are located all around Yolo County (a complete list of locations can be found on the navigation bar on the left).
Below are directions for how to complete this fun activity.
There is also an activity you can do at home below.
Are you ready to have some fun?
INSTRUCTIONS
- Through this gate is a walking path/trail that meanders amongst the grasslands.
- Along the trail you will find painted rocks.
- Each rock has a different exercise for you to do.
- Transition from exercise to exercise as you locate the next rock along the path. For example, if you see the rock with the word “stretch” on it, you will stretch as you walk along the path. When you come upon the next rock, which might say “hop”, you would hop until you find the next one that gives another activity.
- There are 15 rocks total.
- Note how hard and fast your heart beats with the different movements. You can tell how fast your heart is beating by how fast and heavily you breath. In other words, the more you breathe, the faster your heart is beating.
- Let us know below which one was the most difficult. WHILE YOU ARE HERE
If you didn't notice on your way to the trail, there is a large enclosed orchard that you passed. This is a dog park, so you may want to go play with some furry friends before you leave.
Every day you should do something that gets your heart beating faster. Try this on-line exercise generator for another workout. https://spinit.connectedpe.com/
What exercise got your heart pumping the hardest and fastest? (You can tell by the one that got you breathing the most).
