#4 Web of Shapes
Instructions in English
Congratulations, you found a UC 4-H Community Adventure Challenge! Let's have some fun!
Your challenge is to use observation skills to complete a physical challenge. These are crucial to becoming a great Adventurer.
These adventures are located all around Yolo County (a complete list of locations can be found on the navigation bar on the left).
Below are directions for how to complete this fun "Web of Shapes" activity. You may choose to do all three levels of difficulty, each is a little different. Select which level you would like to try first.
There is also an activity you can do at home below.
You found the rope playground. Good job! Are you ready to find some shapes?
- Walk to the rope playground.
- Note that their are many different shapes created in the way that the ropes intersect.
- To start, use your finger to trace as many triangles as you can. A triangle has three corners and three sides, and looks like this:
4. Next, trace as many squares as you can. A square has four corner and four equally long sides, and looks like this:
5. Then, trace rectangles. Rectangle also have four corners, but have four different shaped sides, and look like this:
6. Finally, trace hexagons. Hexagons have six corners and six sides of equal length and look like this:
