#10 Flower Hunt
Instructions
Congratulations, you found a UC 4-H Yolo Community Adventure. Let's have some fun!
Your challenge is to find the flowers listed below. Investigative skills are important for adventurers, so do your best.
These adventures are located all around Yolo County (a complete list of locations can be found on the navigation bar on the left).
Below are directions for how to complete this fun activity.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Walk around the garden and familiarize yourself with the signage.
- Look at the list of rose names below. Roses will be the taller plants if the flowers are not currently in bloom. Notice the similarities of what the flower is shaped like. Roses are very fragrant, meaning they smell really nice. As you search for these flowers, smell them if they are in bloom. Try to find these specific roses:
Red Radiance | Queen Margethe |
Princess Mariana | Golden Wings |
Apricot Nectar | |
3. Now try to find these other plants growing in the garden. They are shorter to the ground and leafier. They may or may not be fragrant. Use your senses to investigate how they smell in comparison to the roses, and to each other.
Rainbows End | Black and Blue Salvia |
Figurine | Lavender |
4. Comment below with the flower you liked the most.
