The Disaster Livestock Access Program is available for commercial producers in Placer, Nevada, and Yuba Counties.
This program allows for access to your property when disaster strikes to care for livestock once emergency personnel has approved access.
- For the purpose of this program, commercial livestock operators are defined as owning 50 head of livestock (including in utero; i.e. 25 bred cows), 100 poultry or rabbits, or 50 or more beehives that reside in Placer, Nevada, or Yuba County for a least a portion of the year.
- Livestock must be raised as part of a business, and can include cattle, sheep, goats, hogs poultry, rabbits, llamas, alpacas, and bees.
- In order to receive your first Disaster Pass, you must attend in-person training. Training for the 2025 fire season was completed in April. If you are a new applicant, please look out for training dates next year.
- If you are a returning applicant, please fill out the survey linked here.
