Unify-Communicate-Advocate The Strategic Initiatives offer a home for strategic thought - drawing on members of the wider UC ANR community and beyond to 1) help people connect and 2) to help them identify and address issues of current and emerging importance.

After 11 years as UC ANR's statewide agritourism coordinator, Penny Leff will be retiring on April 11. Bringing a creative approach Leff has spent her time at UC ANR championing all things that blend agriculture and tourism agritourism.

Lorna Krkich, executive director of Development Services, will retire April 2, after more than three years of service to UC Agriculture and Natural Resources.

John Fox, executive director of Human Resources, plans to retire April 1 after more than 30 years of service to the University of California, the last five years serving UC Agriculture and Natural Resources.

In the past year, UC has announced several agreements with major publishers of scholarly journals, including Elsevier and Springer Nature.
