Intermountain REC calls for proposals

In memoriam: Joanne Ikeda

Joanne Ikeda, UC Cooperative Extension nutrition specialist emeritus in the Department of Nutrition and Toxicology at UC Berkeley for 36 years, died on Nov. 27. She was 74. She was highly respected for her research on the food habits of minority populations living in California.

In memoriam: Hank Sciaroni

R.H. "Hank" Sciaroni, UC Cooperative Extension advisor emeritus, passed away on Sept. 30, 2018. He was 95. Sciaroni, who served UCCE as a farm advisor and director for close to 40 years, was instrumental in establishing UC Cooperative Extension in San Mateo and San Francisco counties.
