AVP Tu Tran retiring

Dear Colleagues:

I am reaching out to let you know that Associate Vice President Tu Tran has informed me that he will be retiring this year, effective July 1, 2025.

In sharing this well-deserved career milestone, I want to express my deep appreciation for his wisdom, partnership and service in advancing the mission of UC ANR.

Since joining UC ANR 12 years ago, Tu has helped to move our organization into a new era. Our funding and employee count have increased dramatically, we have made significant improvements across our facilities, our academic footprint is rebounding, we've implemented new business systems like UCPath, ServiceNow and Aggie Enterprise, and we have weathered so many changes and challenges – COVID, new hiring and contracting regulations, enhanced data-security needs and more.

Throughout his tenure, Tu has modeled a collaborative leadership style; one that is grounded in a growth mind set, active listening and a relentless commitment to excellence.

We plan to launch the search for a new AVP within the coming weeks and will continue to provide communication regarding any changes resulting from this transition. Please join me in congratulating AVP Tran on this important career milestone.

Best,
Glenda
