We are pleased to announce that Kimberly Lamar has accepted the position of Director of Contracts and Grants for UC Agriculture and Natural Resources, effective April 1, 2026.
Kim brings more than 20 years of research administration experience within the University of California system. She currently serves as Interim Director of the UC ANR Office of Contracts and Grants and as Associate Director in the same office. In these roles, she has supported proposal processing, contract and grant administration, research portfolio planning, and federal compliance activities across the UC ANR system.
Prior to joining UC ANR, Kim held several positions in UC Davis Sponsored Programs, including serving on the Negotiation Team responsible for complex agreements with industry, federal sponsors and nonprofit organizations.
As director, Kim will provide leadership for UC ANR’s contracts and grants administration, overseeing proposal development, award negotiation, compliance and sponsored project administration to support UC ANR’s research and extension mission.
Kim is widely respected for her deep knowledge of UC and ANR research administration, experience negotiating complex agreements, and her commitment to maintaining strong service and collaboration across the organization.
