ANR Update

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Moon as UCANR's Director of Workplace Inclusion & Belonging, effective March 3, 2023.

You might have heard that the Governor is ending the COVID-19 state of emergency on Feb. 28. This signals a new phase of response to the pandemic and ends most of the statewide public health orders and restrictions that have been in place and evolved over the past three years.

Colleagues, After several years of dedicated effort, including extensive systemwide discussion review, a new Presidential Policy on Abusive Conduct in the Workplace became effective on Jan. 1, 2023. This policy applies equally to faculty, staff and student employees.

UC President Michael V. Drake will hold a systemwide UC Town Hall on Feb. 24, from 11:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. (PT). President Drake will share opening remarks, then engage in conversation with Priya Lakireddy and Jo Mackness, staff advisor and staff advisor-designate to the UC Regents.

We have been saddened, heartbroken and deeply concerned about the ongoing gun violence in our communities. There have been multiple attacks and many lives lost in just a short period of time throughout California, highlighting the escalating concern for the safety and well-being of all.
