ANR Update

I am pleased to announce that, because of the state's acknowledgement that growing the UC ANR academic footprint is of great benefit to the state, recruitment of UCCE Advisor and UCCE Specialist positions will resume.

Tomorrow (Aug. 18) you will receive by email a survey created by the UC systemwide Talent Management Consortium with my name in the From line. This survey is a needs assessment to gather feedback on UC's local and systemwide training opportunities on leadership and organization development.

Professional society meeting reimbursement requests for academics are being accepted for travel occurring July 1 through Dec. 31, 2021. Deadline for online submission is Monday, Sept. 6, at 5:00 p.m.

ANR will be making additional travel support available for UC Cooperative Extension specialists to collaborate directly with UCCE advisors or REC directors in fiscal year 2021/22.

Recent changes in CDC and CDPH guidance and some County Public Health Orders have required a reassessment of UC ANR's Mask Protocol.
