Show me the honey! The annual California Honey Festival, free and open to the public, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 6 in downtown Woodland. It's about celebrating the importance of bees; the festival's mission is "to promote honey and honey bees and their products.

So much to see, do and touch at the Bohart Museum of Entomology during the 109th annual campuswide UC Davis Picnic Day. The theme: Bugs, Boom, Bang! "We had over 1500 people through the museum in just 4 hours," said Tabatha Yang, the Bohart Museum's education and outreach coordinator.

They came, they saw, they participated. Youngsters--and the young at heart--headed over to Briggs Hall during the 109th annual campuswide UC Davis Picnic Day to create art masterpieces--masterpieces involving maggots.
