Bug Squad

It's "Friday Fly Day," but no flies today. They're in a "no-fly zone." That's because of the freezing temperatures. Jack Frost is nipping at assorted noses, leaves are dropping like flies, and cups are overflowing with hot chocolate. Meanwhile, here's an image BEFORE the freeze.

This is a success story about a former animal biology student, two professors, her practicum and its publication in a prestigious journal.

If you attended the Entomological Society of America's Entomology Games, aka "Bug Bowl," pitting university teams against one another in the pursuit of entomological knowledge, you saw the faces of the national championship team.

Usually when you say "I was framed," it's because someone has accused you of something you didn't do. With the Entomological Society of America (ESA), however, being framed is a good thing.
