Who won the 2023 awards sponsored by the Pacific Branch, Entomological Society of America (PBESA)? Of the 14 awards, UC Riverside scored four; UC Davis, three; Washington State University, two; University of Arizona, two; Arizona State University, one; and USDA-ARS, two.

UC Davis student Gary Ge, a research scholar with the UC Davis Research Scholars Program in Insect Biology, is the 2023 recipient of the Dr. Stephen Garczynski Undergraduate Research Scholarship, sponsored by the Pacific Branch, Entomological Society of America.

Community ecologist Louie Yang, an innovative professor in the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology, is the 2023 recipient of the Distinction in Student Mentoring Award, sponsored by the Pacific Branch, Entomological Society of America (PBESA).
