The UC Davis Entomology Games Team edged out Alabama's Auburn University 75 to 70 to win the national championship at the Entomological Society of America's Entomology Games, waged Tuesday night, Nov. 15 at the ESA meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia.

It was like coming home when acclaimed honey bee geneticist Robert E. Page Jr., stepped forward to accept the Exceptional Emeriti Faculty Award from Helene Dillard, dean of the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CA&ES).

The UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CA&ES) honored Bohart Museum of Entomology supporters Bill Patterson and his wife Doris Brown at the 2022 Awards of Distinction dinner and ceremony, held Nov. 3 in the UC Davis Activities and Recreation Center Ballroom.

An image of a golden dung fly by Kathy Keatley Garvey, communications specialist for the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology, won the Entomological Society of America (ESA) medal for "Best Image by an ESA Member" in the 64th annual International Insect Salon competition.

Assistant professor Cynthia Gleason of the Department of Plant Pathology, Washington State University, Pullman, will speak on "How Do We Help Potato Growers Combat the Root-Knot Nematode Meloidogyne chitwoodi?" at the next UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology seminar.
